He would like a dike installed around the well head to prevent oil spill in pond. I called Bill Hlavin and John Strapoli of G&O Resources to work with the landowner on this issue. Snow, 30 degrees.
1344648777 2014-06-05 Production Wells Violations Noted Inspected production well on 06/05/2014. The tank battery consists of 3-100 bbl steel tanks, 1-2,100 gal plastic tank, 2-drips, and 2-vertical separators located within an earthen dike. Small leaks were noted at the connections at the front and back of the last tank that will need to be addressed. The tank battery is used by multiple wells; identification is clearly displayed for all wells utilizing it. The well is equipped with a pump jack with an electric motor. The well appeared to be shut-in at the time of the inspection. No identification is posted at the wellhead as required. Research into the production history of the well showed that it has not produced since 2010, therefore the well must be plugged.
2006121187 2015-04-15 Production Wells No Violations Inspected production well on 04/15/2015 to follow-up on a previously-issued compliance notice. The tank battery consists of 3-100 bbl steel tanks, 1-2,100 gal plastic tank, and 2-vertical separators located within an earthen dike. The tank battery is used by multiple wells (2); well identification is clearly displayed for all wells utilizing it. The well is equipped with a pump jack with an electric motor. Well identification is posted at the wellhead as required. No problems were noted at the time of the inspection. According to 2014 production data, the well did not produce. G & O has agreed to continue plugging at least one well per quarter until all wells needing plugged in Medina County have been plugged. Will continue working with G & O to achieve compliance.
