The well is leaking oil, affecting an area approximately 10 x 25 within a soybean field. Several small puddles of standing oil, as well as parafin-coated areas are located within that affected area. The source of the leak could not be determined. No well identification is posted at the wellhead as required. David King with King Oil was notified of the leak around the wellhead at the time of the inspection and stated that he would send someone out that afternoon. I also informed him that a compliance notice would be issued. Clean-up progress will be monitored until the areas has been restored. |
