0945942098 | 2018-09-12 | Production Wells | No Violations | On this day, I am conducting a compliance notice follow-up inspection. The well is equipped with 2.875 inch diameter tubing and is setup to be produced as an open-flow well. There is a missing valve handle, but it appears to be open. There is a tee at the top of the wellhead with one side connected to a 2 inch plastic flowline that has deteriorated and separated from the wellhead, and the other side of the tee is connected to a sales line running in the direction of the production facility. The facility consists of (1) 100 barrel steel tank, domestic meter, and vertical separator with the dump valve held open by wire. The production records are current, but 0s were reported from 2010-2016, and 36 barrels of oil were reported for 2017. I spoke with landowner, Mr. Christman, and he indicated that the well hasnt been in production for several years, and he doesnt receive domestic gas from the well. Pictures were taken during the inspection. I spoke with Mike Corp on 9/12/18, with Northwood, and he indicated that he wasnt aware of any future plans for the well. |
1389806618 | 2014-01-15 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Status check inspection of the well head found 4.5 production casing and a 2.875 intermediate casing string with the production valves open. A single 100 barrel production tank is present along with a mechanical separator and a domestic gas meter. No commercial gas sales meter was present No production is reported in the database and no identification is present. Instruction are as follows- make the well capable of commercial production within 60 days and file production within 90 days, Post proper well identification on well head, ODNR contact Monroe County inspector Bill Stolarik 740-507-6592. |
1394746766 | 2014-03-13 | Administrative Inspection | No Violations | I have been in phone contact with Corey McCuddin with Northwood Energy in regards with the said well being improperly identified with another producing well across the road, they are working to sort the identification and actual ownership issues out. |
1483061607 | 2016-12-29 | Production Wells | No Violations | Compliance notice # 1389806618 follow up inspection found the well equipped with 8.625 diameter surface casing along with a 2.875 diameter casing string and a 4.5 diameter string. All valves appear to be open at the well head with handles missing on multiple valves. The 2.875 string is connected into a 2 sales line which is divided at the well head by a 2 tee with one side running in the direction nearby production tank and severed off before the tank the other side of the tee is plumed into a 2 sales line with and runs in the direction of a production facility on the West side of the property with a single 100 barrel production tank present along with a mechanical separator with no commercial gas sales meter identified as present on the property associated with the said well and the 2 plastic flow line also observed to be severed before entering the mechanical separator. No well identification is posted. No commercial production has been reported since 1993 and no domestic hook up is present associated with the said well. The State RBDMS database records reflect that in 1981 the 2.875 casing string was cemented using 150 sacks of cement and was perforated with the target formation being the Gordon Sand at 1,854 to 1,880. Northwood Energy has not responded to the violation or attempted to make corrective actions to produce the well and no temporary inactive application has been received by the Division. Photographs were taken on this day. The landowner also made contact with me while I was conducting my inspection and indicated the well has been idle for a numerous amount of years and is not being used for domestic purposes. |
1499694598 | 2017-07-10 | Production Wells | No Violations | Compliance notice # 1389806618 follow up inspection found the well equipped with 8.625 diameter surface casing along with a4.5 diameter production string and a 2.875 diameter intermediate tubing string. All valves appear to be open at the well head with handles missing on multiple valves. The well is set up to produce by the open flow method through the 2.875 diameter production tubing with no mechanical production means present. There also is no identification at the well head. Also situated on the property is a production facility consisting of a single 100 barrel production tank and mechanical separator with the pressure release fluid dump valve wired open on the separator. There is no commercial gas sales meter present at the production facility or in the immediate area of the well. There is a domestic supply meter set besides the mechanical separator that both wells on the property feeds into. No identification is present at the production facility. The company has reported zero commercial production since taking ownership of the well in 2010. |
1537473336 | 2018-09-20 | Production Wells | No Violations | Compliance notice # 1389806618 follow up inspection found the well equipped with a 4.5 diameter production casing string along with a 2.875 diameter intermediate tubing string with no production tubing string and no means of artificial lift of mechanical means of production present. Attached to the 2.875 diameter intermediate string is a 2 diameter ball valve that has no control handle present on the valve. Atop the valve is a production tee with valves present on each opposing outlet of the tee. One valve is closed and leads to a plastic orange colored line that is broken at the valve and severed near the well head. On the second outlet is a 2 ball valve with no handle, however the valve stem indicates the valve is in the open position. Downstream from the valve is a pressure reducing regulator followed by a 2 diameter steel sales line. There is a pressure gauge present that is in disrepair. On location near the well is a single steel construction 30 barrel capacity fluid storage tank that is not currently in service or attached to the well head. No identification is posted. Also present on the property is a production facility that consists of a single steel construction 100 barrel production tank along with a mechanical separator and house gas sales meter fed off the mechanical separator. Feeding into the separator is a 2 diameter plastic sales line identical to the line severed at the well head. Also present on the property is a sales line vertical gas fluid drip that has multiple lines feeding into it including the house gas feed line running to the mechanical separator. There is also 2 Gaterco sales meters along the roadway with the last visible chart date being 2004. The company has reported commercial oil production for the year 2017 and also reported (2) 210 barrel fluid capacity production tanks servicing the well. |
