2016754140 | 2008-05-16 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | ON 05-16-2008 AT 8:30 AM I WAS STOPPING TO SEE IF THE DRILL PIT WAS CLOSED UP.I WENT DOWN TO WELL AND LOOKED AT PIT.THE BACKSIDE WALL GAVE AWAY.CAUSING THE CONTENTS TOSPILL DOWN INTO WOODS AND DOWN TO A CREEK.ALL OF THE FRAC TANKS WERE STILL PRESENT.SHALLOW SPRINGS WERE CHARGING UP THE SITUATION.I CALLED RAY BECK ON THE MATTER.HE DIRECTLY HAD SOME OF HIS EMPLOYEES SHOW UP AT ABOUT 9:30 AM.WE TOOK A DOZER AND CLOSED OFF THE OPEN PART OF THE PIT.WE THEN STARTED DIKING UP THE LOWER PART OF THE SPILL SO FLUID WOULD NOT GO DOWN INTO CREEK.WE TOOK OIL ABSORBENTS AND WENT TO DIKE UP THE LITTLE FEEDERS FROM THE SPRINGS CARRYING SHEEN FROM THE APPARENT SPILL.AT 11:00AM STARTED TO HOOK A PUMP UP TO THE FLOW LINE AND PUMP INTO THE 100BBL TANK AT TANK PAD.AT 1:30PM WE STARTED MOVING 2 300 BBL FRAC TANKS DOWN BY THE TANKPAD.AT 2:30 PM WATER TRUCKS WERE CALLED.AT 3:00 PM THE HAULERS CALLED BACK AND SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TILL SATURDAY MORNING.ALL DISPOSAL WELLS WERE FULL AND ONE WAS DOWN. |
