1406224224 | 2014-07-24 | Completion Testing | No Violations | Stat Eisenbarth site update- My inspection today found the containment on the South-West side of the site pad in need of repairs. Visual inspection found the bottom of the culvert sump installed to recover fluids not sealed with perforated holes in the side that could allow surface fluid to leak out. The crews are working to install a water tight containment pond with plastic tucked in under the site pad containment to recover any fluids before they enters the earth. The storm water sump the EPA ordered installed shall remain intact and undisturbed and in use. 8-500 barrel tanks have been brought in and set up to be used in the storm water recovery operation and 600 gallons of fluid was recovered from the site pad yesterday with a total of 1909 barrels of total fluid recovered from the site pad and drains to date. Stat oil crews are on site creating a plan to remediate the well site and remove any materials that may be contaminated by the chemicals released by the fire. |
1406465169 | 2014-07-27 | Completion Testing | No Violations | Status check post well location fire day 30 found the well location clean up is still waiting on Halliburton and Stat Oils legal counsel to come to an agreement, various insurance company representatives have visited the site, the EPA has 3rd party contractors on site conduction air and fluid sampling and well as documenting all activities on and off site, Stat as well is keeping notes on all site activates and visitors. Fluid recovery for the site still remains a priority while the legal issues are being sorted out. The containment pond area I had Stat oil add to the ditch line inside the berm area on the South-West side of the pad on 07/24/14 is complete and working effectively to contain any fluids running off the original site containment berm. |
