0443382197 | 2018-02-20 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On site inspection to witness the 18.625 diameter surface-mine string cement job with H&P Drilling rig 531 on location along with Schlumberger Cement Service. The rig has drilled a 26 diameter well bore to a total depth of 889. The mine void was encountered between the depths of 775 and 790 and the first attempt to rung the 18.625 diameter casing through the mine on the morning of 02/18/2018 was unsuccessful. At that point I returned home and stayed in contact with the rig for the next 2 days until hearing from them on this morning indicating that the company had set casing through the mine and was preparing to begin the cement job. Casing was reported to be set at 821 and the job was initiated by Schlumberger by first pumping the bottom balance cement job below the mine void. The job consisted of 20 barrels of 6% gel spacer followed by a 97 barrel cement class A cement blend displaced with 233 barrels of fresh water. Upon landing of the bottom plug at 70 psi the cement pressure was increased in increments to test the casing and open the swell packer. Once the packer was confirmed as open the DV tool opening device was dropped and the 2nd plug installed in the well head. Circulation was established and the upper section cement job was then pumped with 288 barrels of class A surface set cement ran displaced with 199 barrels of fresh water. Cement returns were witnessed to surface at 160 barrels into displacement and the casing was pressure tested to 1,290 psi upon the landing of the cement plug. The casing floats held. |
0864085219 | 2018-04-26 | Completion Testing | No Violations | Status check inspection found the well drilling and stimulation process now complete. The pad is being prepped for completion drill out. A tubing snubbing unit contractor identified as Deep well Services is scheduled to mobilize onto the well pad tomorrow 04/27/2018. The well head consists of a lower A section and mid B section with a master valve assembled on top of the B section and a flow cross above the master valve. I spoke with the company man and discussed the well construction rules regarding annular pressure monitoring. All operations are being conducted on polymer containment with the well pad earthen berm serving as the perimeter boundary primary containment. |
0947924029 | 2018-08-28 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | Preliminary Restoration found the area affected by the well pad construction meets ORC 1509.072 with vegetation established and erosion control in place. The well pad and lease road are of stone surface construction and in good repair. 4 total well are now present on the well pad. The said well is equipped with a lower A and upper B section well head assembly with 2 diameter riser pipes attached to each well head section, the riser pipes are equipped with valves and gauges to monitor annular pressure. The A section gauge which monitors the pressure between the 13.375 and 9.625 diameter casing string reads 500 pounds pressure. The B section gauge which reads the pressure between the 5.5 and 9.625 diameter casing string reads 400 pounds pressure. The 5.5 internal casing pressure is 4,240 pounds and the flow line pressure downstream of the well head choke is 1,731 pounds. The completion master valve is still on the well and the well is selling off the 5.5 production casing. On the left rear side of the well pad is the production fluid facility consisting of (3) steel construction 400 barrel capacity tanks along with a single 100 barrel tank, all situated inside a polymer lined steel containment dike area. There is a 3rd party midstream pipeline point and compressor on a separate pad at the rear of the location. |
1518982449 | 2018-02-18 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On this day, I accompanied ODNR Inspector William Stolarik to witness the 18.625-inch diameter surface casing cement job with Schlumberger. Please refer to his comments for a detailed report. The H&P Flex Rig 531 drilled a 26-inch diameter borehole to a depth of 889 feet from a kelly bushing of 30 feet. A mine void is encountered from a depth of 775 feet to 790 feet. Wyoming Casing is unable to successfully insert the casing string due becoming stuck at the mine void. It is decided to pull back out of the hole and lay the casing down. |
1519142834 | 2018-02-18 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | On site inspection to witness the surface-mine string cement job accompanied on this day by ODNR Inspector Tom Thomas. Upon Inspection it was observed that H&P Drilling rig 531 was on location along with Wyoming Casing Services and Schlumberger Cement Service. The rig has drilled a 26 diameter borehole to a measured depth of 889 with the Pittsburgh # 8 coal seam marked at 775 to 790. Initially on 02/28/2018 the company was unable to get casing through the mine void and pulled the casing so they could ream the well bore and clean out the bottom of the well bore where material had fell in and filled up the well bore. It took 2 more attempts over the next 2 days to get casing through the well to a minimum of 30. On the morning of 2/20/2018 I was notified that the company had set casing through the mine and was preparing to begin the cement job. |
1519205498 | 2018-02-21 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On site inspection at 3:00 am to witness the 18.625 mine string hydrostatic pressure test. H&P Drilling rig 531 is on location and has drilled out the casing string cement plugs float collar and casing shoe and has drilled down to 910. The discharge flow line was disassembled and a block off plate installed. The well bore was loaded with fresh water, the air body rotating head was removed and a fluid level was confirmed as static inside the air body. The air body rotating head was installed and the well bore filled with fluid with the flow line block off plate present 30 (psi) pound per square inch fluid pressure was applied over top of the 430 psi hydrostatic. The pressure held with no recorded loss for 15 minuets. |
