1513275925 2017-12-07 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On this day, I am accompanying ODNR Inspector Austin Gutridge. Please refer to his comments for a detailed report. A borehole was drilled to a depth of 100 feet and set a 100 foot conductor with 241 sacks of cement, displaced with 55.74 barrels of water, leaving a 10 foot shoe track in the bottom of the conductor. Cement returns are witnessed at the surface.
1513795377 2017-12-07 Casing String Witnessed No Violations The purpose of my inspection was to witness 100 feet of the 26 inch diameter conductor being cemented in a 32 inch diameter borehole. Express Energy drilled the borehole and did not encounter any water during the drilling process. A pre-job safety meeting was held with all personnel on location including Express Energy and CNX Company Man. Following the safety meeting Express Energy pumped 10 barrels of fresh water, 241 sacks of class A cement, and 55 barrels of fresh water were used for displacement. 10 feet of cement was left inside the bottom of the conductor and cement returns were established in the cellar. Cement returns were used to cement the floor of the cellar.
1520693244 2018-03-09 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations On this day, I found the Patterson 803 rig has drilled the 24 inch diameter borehole to a total depth of 941 feet, and will be running 18.625 casing with a mine string. They encountered a coal seem from a depth of 844 - 855 feet. They are in the process of attempting to trip out of the hole, but are having trouble pulling up through the coal seem. I will be in contact with company man, Dewayne Finney, with updates during their process.
1520914907 2018-03-12 Casing String Witnessed No Violations On this day, I am here to witness the 13.375-inch diameter 1st intermediate casing cement job with Halliburton Energy Services. The Patterson 803 rig drilled a 17.5-inch diameter borehole to a depth of 2,535 feet from a Kelly Bushing of 28 feet. Then, Mikes Power Tong Services inserted 2,496 feet of 13.375-inch diameter J-55 54.50 lb./ft. casing into the borehole. Halliburton held a pre-job safety meeting. They pumped 10 barrels of fresh water, 50 barrels of gel spacer, and 10 barrels of fresh water ahead of the cement. Then, they cemented the casing with 339 barrels total volume of 1,540 sacks of Class A cement with a 1.23 yield and a weight of 15.8 pounds per gallon. It was displaced with 340 barrels of 9.5 pounds per gallon brine water, and 40 barrels of fresh water. The plug landed with 1,100 psi, and then pressured up to 1,600 psi and held. 26 barrels of cement returns were brought to surface.
1522241010 2018-03-22 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations The purpose of my inspection was a status check. During my inspection Patterson Drilling Rig 803 was drilling the 8.5 inch diameter borehole. The rig had landed the curve within the Point Pleasant formation at a measured depth of 11622 feet and a true vertical depth of 10782 feet. The rig was utilizing a drilling mud with the weight being 13.2 pounds.
1548171314 2019-01-22 Preliminary Restoration No Violations On this day, I am conducting a preliminary restoration inspection. Site meets 1509.072 (A) Vegetation is established with no substantial erosion. I found the pad gated with signage at the entrance. There are (4) producing wells, (4) gas processing units (GPU), (4) 400-barrel and (1) 100-barrel steel production tanks within polymer lined steel containment, and an Emergency Shutdown (ESD) button is present at the pad entrance. Additionally, concrete barriers surround the perimeter of the wellheads and the GPUs. Each well has identification and annular pressure monitoring devices equipped. The 9.625 inch diameter intermediate casing has a pressure of 1,000 pounds per square inch (psi), and the 13.375 inch diameter surface casing has a pressure of 900 psi. John Zachwieja, CNX Production Foreman, was notified of the pressure.
1554737349 2019-04-08 Production Wells No Violations On this day, I am accompanying ODNR Engineers Mark Atkinson and Andy Thomas, ODNR Southeast Supervisors Brent Bear and Mike Moreland, and CNX Gas Representatives John Hardcastle, Rick Harless, and others. The meeting is to review the new proposed well locations. The existing production wells were also inspected. The 9.625 inch diameter intermediate casing has a pressure of 980 pounds per square inch (PSI), and the 13.375 inch diameter surface casing has a pressure of 980 PSI. On 4/8/2019 I left a message with John Zachwieja, CNX Production Foreman, to notify him of the pressures.
