| 1403278739 | 2014-06-19 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | I witnessed the plugging of this well for Monroe County Inspector Bill Stolarik. I was called out at 8 AM however, the cement crew was busy on another well and they did not arrive on location and begin plugging until @ 11 AM. This well was drilled before 1900 and contained wooden conductor casing. There were no records for this well. The 500 thick bottom plug was set, through tubing, from 1470 to 970. Circulation was slow to come, even though the fluid level in the well was at approximately 425. The 300 thick top plug was set from a depth of 300 to surface. Fluid level was still at approximately 425 prior to setting this plug. It took more cement than was calculated to set the top plug and the well had to be topped off several times before the cement stayed in place. It is possible that there is a hole in the 6.25 diameter casing at the 425 depth which caused the need for additional cement. |
| 1403781147 | 2014-06-20 | Administrative Inspection | No Violations | The well operator called to say that the cement was about 13 below the top of the casing. They will add additional cement to bring it to surface. |
