At the well spot there is 10 inch open casing sitting a foot above ground level with a rock (erratic) placed on top in cropland. Research showed it was drilled by cable tool to the Trempealeau (TD 3334) and was plugged with clay: Division witnessed 2/28/1964. The casing was filled with water 8 inches from the top, which tested negative for chlorides, but was actively bubbling. No gas alerts or odor were noted at the time of inspection, with the conditions being very windy with sub-freezing temperatures. Photo documented and obtained coordinates. Status: contacted Columbus to change status to Dry and Abandoned. Evaluating for orphan well program.
2145429053 2017-06-28 Plug / Plug Back No Violations Inspect well head casing status before it becomes inaccessible due to crops (beans).
