1147714321 2006-05-15 Non Well No Violations On site by request of the landowner. He was digging a basement and ran in to two pipe lines one approx 3 inches in diameter and the other approx 2 inch. He would like to know where the lines go to and what if any thing may be in them. The well was plugged 4/6/72 the pits have been closed and the storage facilities are gone. The lines may have been the flow limes from the well the to the storage tanks. Followed the line w/a metal detector and found the end of the line. Dug it up and found that it had no valve on it and that the line was dead. I advised them that I thought it would be ok to remove the line and proceed with the construction of the house. I gave the contractor a card and told him to call if he runs into anything that he has a question about.
