Lost was about 45 barrels of flow back which was a combination of spent completion acid (15% HCL) and water. The path was easily traced across the location as it was constrained to preexisting ruts and swales. We tested puddles from the tank to the road ditch using PH paper and the flow back did not enter the road ditch and stayed on location. Miller Roustabout used a dozer to scrape up the soil (two blades wide) and piled it up at the back of the location. Plans are to let it dry out and bury it after mixing it with lime, spread lime over the location and plant rye for the land owner Mr. Lanker. Mr. Lanker was on location and was pleased with the remediation plans. |
