I observed gas and petroleum leaking from the stuffing box. There is an area of approximately 200 square feet around the wellhead which has been impacted by oil leakage. Access to the wellhead is afforded by an unpaved road which enters off of Brookfield Twp. Rd 1 (Cain Rd.). There is a tank battery comprised of one 100-barrel steel tank located at the entry point. The area around the battery is overgrown with vegetation. There is secondary containment. Fittings at the battery are secure and free from leakage. There is also a metering run with chart recording station and in-line drip tank near the roadway. There is no legible ID at the battery or wellhead. |
