1529084405 2018-06-15 Orphan No Violations I was contacted by Paul Mechling letting me know about some casing at ground level on his familys farm. Paul stated that it has water at the surface and it is bubbling. I went out the following day to do an inspection on the well and I found the well was drilled in 1975 and plugged in 1976. We do have record of the well being plugged with plugging clay. I dropped my tape in the hole so I could see how deep it was and touched down at 1 foot. The clay is still at the surface but has a small amount of gas leaking through it. the record shows there is 476 feet of 8-5/8 inch diameter casing in the well. There is no production equipment for this well. The well was plugged in 1976 according to records. The lease road to the well is still accessible once the beans are out of the field
