2019-03-08 | Production Wells | No Violations | Chuck Henry Energy has a service rig working on this well. They are attempting to remove a packer set inside the 4.5 inch diameter casing. The packer is stuck at approximately 2400 feet. They have made three attempts to remove the packer. They used Formation Cementing to pressure up the well bore and this did not work. They have used stem and jars to attempt to dislodge the packer and this did not work. They have obtained jars with a larger stroke. If this does not work they will attempt to drive the packer down to the bottom of the well bore.
2019-02-11 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | The well is capable of production. The steel tanks used for drilling have been removed. The well meets requirements for preliminary restoration.
2019-02-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection revealed the well is being serviced. The pumping unit has been moved off the wellhead. There is a service rig on site. The well was shut in. I contacted well owner Chuck Henry Energy to find out when the well would be back in production.
2019-04-29 | Completion Testing | No Violations | The well is not capable of production due to a stuck packer that will not dislodge. Many attempts have been made to remove the packer but none have proven successful. I will contact the owner of this well and find out what they plan on doing to fix the problem they are having down hole.
2018-11-13 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection revealed the well is being serviced. I spoke with Chuck Henry Energy who stated they will be using hydraulic packers to test different portions of the horizontal well bore. This operation will start 11.14.18. They are doing this operation to determine where the productive zone is. Legible identification was posted.
2018-05-07 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | My inspection revealed there is a problem in drilling below the conductor casing. Highland Drilling drilled to 211 feet using a 12.25 inch diameter bit and encountered water. They lost approximately 100 barrel of fluid an hour while drilling to this depth. Formation Cementing set a cement plug on 5.6.18 and let the cement set up for 18 hours. After they drilled through the cement they again encountered water, Formation Cementing on site today at 1300 hours to determine if they can bull head a cement plug across the drilled area that is causing the problem. I believe the drift in this area is causing the problem. Formation Cementing ran 50 sacks of lite cement followed by 50 sacks of heavy cement to try and heal up the drift area. The casing was shut in at will set for 24 hours before drilling resumes.
2018-11-29 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection revealed the well is being serviced by Chuck Henry Energy. They have set packers in the horizonal portion of the wellbore. The next procedure will be to perforate one section at a time to try and determine if any of the zones contain hydrocarbons.
2018-05-02 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | My inspection revealed the drilling rig has been set up, the steel pits are in place and the well will be spudded on 5.3.18
2018-05-14 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has reached 1888 feet. 9.62 inch diameter surface casing was set on 5.11.18. The surface casing was not witnessed. 1888 feet of 7 inch diameter liner was ran on 5.13.18 The liner casing was not witnessed. They will drill out the float collar on the 7 inch diameter casing today and the directional drilling contractor will be starting the curve. They expect to be to total depth on the lateral by 5.16.18.
2018-05-04 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has reached 184 feet using a 17.5 inch diameter bit. The reached total depth at 10:30 AM. 184 feet of 13.378 inch diameter conductor casing was ran. Formation Cementing on site for the cementing of the conductor casing.
2018-04-16 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | My inspection revealed the access road and well pad have been completed. The access road has been made of stone and is an all weather road. New coordinates were taken of the well point and entry point. I spoke with Chuck Henry Energy and they said the conductor rig should be on site this day.
2018-07-18 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection revealed the well has been completed. The well consists of a wellhead. Chuck Henery Energy is on site fusing 4 inch diameter plastic pipe to run to their injection well. The well has not been produced and will not be until they can have the ability to inject water into their injection well.
2018-05-29 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has left location. They are working on removing all of the equipment off location. They plan on test pumping the well in the near future.
2018-08-20 | Production Wells | No Violations | I arrived on site at 0820 hours and found a service rig on site. The well consists of production casing with a swage necked down to 2 inch diameter and a valve. The pad is made of stone with no erosion. 2-210 barrel fiberglass tanks are on location to allow the operator to test the well. I spoke with Chuck Henry Energy geologist and he stated they are going to run in 4.5 inch diameter casing and tubing to test the well. The 4.5 inch diameter casing will be ran down to the top of the curve.
2018-05-10 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has set 219 feet of 11 inch diameter 42 pounds to the foot casing inside of the 13.375 inch diameter conductor casing. This casing was driven to 219 feet into limestone. The collars were removed and the pipe was butt welded to comply with cement spacing rules. They are drilling ahead using a 10.875 inch diameter bit to run 9.625 inch diameter surface casing. The collars will be removed and butt welded to comply with cement spacing rules.
2018-04-18 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Butchs Rathole service is on site using a 30 inch diameter auger rig to drill the hole for the 20 inch diameter conductor casing. They have reached approximately 102 feet by 0930 hours. The rig had reached 116 feet by 10:00 PM on 4.17.18. They lost approximately 16 feet of hole from 10:00 PM on 4.17.18 to today at 0930 hours. They continue to drill with the auger bit to remove the material down to 116 feet where the 20 inch diameter casing will be set. They were unable to reach 116 feet. They stopped at 106 feet. They were only able to run 75 feet of the 20 inch diameter casing. Formation Cementing on site at 1400 hours to cement the conductor pipe back to surface.
2018-05-03 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has finished rigging up and will spud today. The steel pits used in lieu of earthen pits are in place. They will be scrubbing the oxygen out of the air during air drilling in order to lessen the chance of a down hole fire. I met with the landowner Mr. Dave Delong and he is satisfied with the operation thus far.
2018-05-21 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Highland Drilling rig number 8 has reached 3421 feet. They are drilling the horizonal portion of the well. Panther Drilling is steering the bottom hole assembly. They are using fresh water based mud to drill with.
