1524836273 2018-04-27 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations I inspected this well in response to a request/inquiry to DNR Mail by City of Kent Water Treatment Plant Manager Brian Johnson. The City was currently trying to determine their oil and gas rights and leases and there was a question on where the Emergency Well Locator was plotting this wellhead. My inspection today verified the location of the wellhead and that Well Locator plots the well 750-800 south-south east of the actual location of the wellhead. It is located very close to the property line of the City of Kent property and property owned by the Portage County Board of Commissioners according to the parcel data and not on the Hodgeman property to the south. I investigated the area where the well was plotting by foot and found a pipeline right-of way and no evidence of a wellhead. I spoke with the landowner, Brian Hodgeman, and he said there was no other well on the property. I reviewed the revised location plat submitted by H.D. Collins in August of 1967 and there appears to be errors with the footage calls from the lot lines. This well produces from the Clinton Sandstone and the wellhead consists of 4.5 production casing equipped with 1.5 tubing and a plunger lift system. Gauges indicate pressures of 400psi on the tubing and 420psi on the casing. The well produces through a horizontal separator and to a diked tank battery shared with the Schlarb #2 (PN#20488). The battery contains one (1) 100 barrel tank and one (1) 50 barrel tank. The required ID is posted at the wellhead and at the tank battery. I found no violations at this time. I will notify Mr. Johnson of my findings and notify Columbus of the location discrepancy.
1607654026 2018-10-03 UrbanProduction Wells No Violations I inspected this well to determine if the annulus between the 4.5 production casing and 8.626 surface accessible or plumbed to surface prior to the Orphan Well Contractor moving in to remediate the I&O Hodgeman #1 (PN#20441). My inspection found the wellhead consisting of 4.5 casing, 1.5 tubing, and a plunger lift system. The production casing port was equipped with a gauge and indicated a pressure of 450psi. The well tender, Jeff, arrived on location during my inspection. I explained to him what needed to be done, and I contacted Field Supervisor Joe Teppert to request that the surface casing be exposed and gauged to determine if the annulus is over-pressurized. Joe said he would get Scott Miller Contracting to location to expose the casing. There are currently no violations.
