0646211013 | 2017-06-21 | Production Wells | No Violations | I inspected this well to follow-up on an anonymous complaint concerning the possible venting of methane at this well. I spoke with the landowner and he was not aware if gas was being vented or not. The wellhead is equipped with an electric powered pumping unit, 2.375 tubing, and 4.5 production casing. One port on the 4.5 casing is plumbed to a domestic meter and the other port is plumbed to a 55 gallon charcoal filter and is not connected to the flow line. The well was pumping during my inspection and there was low pressure, natural gas emanating from the vent stack on the charcoal filter. I inspected the tank battery and found it diked and containing one (1) 100 barrel tank and a 35 barrel poly tank. There is no separator in the tank battery and there is a 2 rubber hose plumbed to the plug at the top of the 100 barrel tank and into the top of the poly tank. I was able to observe vapors escaping from the lid on the poly tank and the 100 barrel tank is just under half full of fluid at this time. Production records indicate no gas production since the 1987 reporting year. I will speak with Everflow about this issue. |
1458428911 | 2006-09-13 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | The tank battery was dismantled and one stock tank was found to have a bad bottom and was removed. The valves have been replaced, impacted soil removed, new stone placed in the tank battery and the dike restored. The violation has been corrected. |
1759850928 | 2006-09-11 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | The Uniontown office received call from Theresa Stanley (330-527-7139) reporting a spill at the Hall #1 tank battery. I met the pumper (Gary McIntosh) on site. The timer on the pump jack failed and the unit continued to run which then overfilled the tanks. The release was contained inside of the tank battery dike and appeared to be less than 5 barrels. The drain valve on the northernmost stock tank was also leaking. At my request, Gary contacted Northeast Water Service for a vac truck to recover oil and/or brine inside of the containment dike and to start draining brine from the tanks. Recovery and removal of contaminated soil and stone from inside of the dike will continue in the morning. |
