| 1446834554 | 2015-10-21 | Exempt Well Pre Transfer | No Violations | I was on location with Inspector Shannon Mullins to conduct a domestic, pre-transfer inspection for this Clinton Sandstone well. My inspection found the 4.5 casing equipped with a 4 X 2 reducer and ball valve. A gauge indicates 170psi on the casing. The 2 flow line was reduced to 1 and connected to a drip bottle and domestic meter charged at 19psi. A flow line ran to a vertical separator in the tank battery which was diked and contained a 100 barrel tank. The sales line was closed and the landowner has trenched in a 1 plastic line to connect at the separator and heat a house that is currently under construction on the property. The 8.625 surface casing head was buried beneath gravel, but was noticeably gurgling and leaking gas. I spoke with the landowner and told him I would approve the transfer after I have Buckeye install a pop-off valve on the surface casing head. I have contacted Buckeye and they will inform me when the pop-off is installed and I will have Inspector Mullins complete the transfer. No violations. |

The wellhead consisted of a 4.5 inch casing with a swage into a one inch line with regulator, drip bottle and meter. There was 180 psi of pressure on the wellhead at the time of this inspection. The well is being used for domestic use only and is approximately located 668 feet from any dwelling. The tank battery consisted of a 100 bbl tank and mechanical separator that is remaining on site. The tank battery is diked. I spoke with the landowner about updating the well signage. The wellhead and tank battery locations are stable and vegetated. The access road is stable and drivable. |
