Wood plug was pushed to 830 with a 5 5/8 cable tool bit. Bit started to stick and samples from bit revealed shale that had swelled due to the introduction of fresh water into the borehole. Well was shut in till decision is made on how to proceed. |

Sandusky Co. inspector Tom Benko was on site to look at samples and watch the last flush. The decision was made to plug well from current depth of 830 to surface with cement.
