0018371968 | 2015-07-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of the inspection a 5 long by 14 diameter plastic pipe was set as a riser for the well. The area around the well was dug by hand and a thin layer of granular bentonite was placed in the hole. A 6 long, 2 diameter pipe was removed from the casing head to allow room for the riser. The riser pipe was then placed over the well and more bentonite was added to the annular space between the riser and the well. Bentonite was also placed outside the rise to create a seal that should keep any further fluids inside the riser and out of the field. This well will be referred for possible acceptance to the Orphan Well Program and will be monitored accordingly. |
0300415103 | 2015-08-03 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of the inspection the riser set on 7-22-2015 was still in place and the bentonite was swelling inside the riser. An inch of rain was measured by the landowner overnight but no leaking was observed from the well, inside or outside of the riser. The well will continue to be monitored for any further leaking and to check the integrity of the riser. |
1195056535 | 2015-09-02 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of the inspection the riser set on 7-22-2015 was still in place and the bentonite was swelled inside the riser. Approximately 3/4 of rain was measured by the landowner overnight but no leaking was observed from the well, inside or outside of the riser. The well will continue to be monitored for any further leaking and to check the integrity of the riser. |
1441415643 | 2015-06-30 | Production Wells | No Violations | This inspection was done at the request of the new landowner, Jason Wojdyla, when the well leaked oil into his bean field during heavy rains in late June. At the time of the inspection the well was not leaking but there was evidence that the well had been leaking trace amounts recently. The well appears to be a Historic Well that has not been produced in many years and the 6 surface casing has failed allowing fresh water into the well. The fresh water has filled the wellbore and any oil has now come to the surface and leak from an open 2 fitting on the side of the wellhead when the water level rises. Any oil that had leaked from the well had dissipated due to continued heavy rains so no cleanup work was necessary. The well has 8 conductor casing, 6 surface casing with a wellhead and 2 tubing on a ring. There is no other equipment associated with this well and no production lines or tanks were evident. The well will be monitored until the landowner can provide a riser pipe to place over the well to prevent any further leaking into the field. An API # was assigned and the well was added to RBDMS on 8-24-2015. |

1839708516 | 2016-02-03 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of the inspection the riser was still in place and the bentonite was swelled inside the riser. An eighth inch of rain was measured by the landowner overnight but no leaking was observed from the well, inside or outside of the riser. The well will continue to be monitored for any further leaking and to check the integrity of the riser. |
1942538322 | 2015-08-11 | Production Wells | No Violations | At the time of the inspection the riser set on 7-22-2015 was still in place and the bentonite was swelled inside the riser. A 1/2 of rain was measured by the landowner overnight but no leaking was observed from the well, inside or outside of the riser. The well will continue to be monitored for any further leaking and to check the integrity of the riser. |
