The unit is fenced and the proper ID is posted on the fence. The well produces to a tank battery that is shared by permit #24998. The battery is fenced and diked and contains 1-210 barrel tank, a vertical separator, and a brine vault. The proper IDs are posted at the tank battery. No violations. |

The lease road is graveled and gated. It leads to a fenced tank battery with a 210bbl production tank, brine vault and mechanical separator. The pumpjack well has been shut it until the spill is cleaned up. The timer on the pumpjack malfunctioned in the last 5 min of the cycle and continued to pump the well continuously. A total of 15bbl of oil overflowed into the dike. No oil left location. The oil has been cleaned up with a vacuum truck and the residual oil has been adsorbed with peat moss and adsorbent pads. Rock removal and final cleanup will be completed tomorrow. I will follow up on this spill at that time. |
