Columbus contacted Jay Cheslock who contacted Inspector Claus. Inspector Claus called Chief Larry Gilkerson (330-767-4212) of the Brewster Fire Dept. for information. The stock tank had been hit by lightning; no fire; approx. 200 gals. of crude released; no waterways were encountered. 9-4-02 Inspected and photographed the site. Clean up was in progress. Met with Brian Levengood of Dover-Atwood and discussed the remediation plan. Inspector Claus will do a follow-up inspection in 2-3 weeks. |
