0671622544 | 2017-08-16 | UrbanProduction Wells | No Violations | Follow-up to Complaint #5683 concerning non-production, over growth, and a leaking domestic regulator. I spoke with the caretaker of the property this morning, Mr. Tim Pristas, and he told me that the well was not being produced and has caused the domestic supply line to be filled with oil. He also stated that the well and equipment are badly overgrown, and that the contract pumper, Tony Carlisle, will no longer work for Pine Top due to financial reasons. He also said that Tony told him that the well has not been operated in over a year. I inspected the well and found it fenced and locked. The well is equipped with an electric powered pumping unit and the flow line valves on the tubing and production casing are open. The area inside the fencing and around the unit is badly overgrown with 3-5 weeds and small trees. The south side of the fencing is being overgrown by vines and the ID is posted on this side. I inspected the domestic supplies, one is located behind the small house to the east and is equipped with a small drip bottle and regulator. The other tap is on the south side of the large home and has a larger drip bottle and regulator. The bottom of the regulator is oil stained from leakage and there is a five (5) gallon bucket used for blowing down the drip below the blow down line. I inspected the tank battery and found it to be badly overgrown as well. The battery was diked and fenced, and the man door was locked. The battery contains: One (1) 100 barrel tank (with ID posted), a 50 barrel tank, two (2) vertical separators, and a meter run. Valves at the taller, vertical separator and associated meter run are open and the 7-day chart has not been changed since 6/1/17. The chart is maintaining a differential pressure of 35psi. The shorter, vertical separator is equipped with 4.5 OD input and output lines and connects to another large valve at the sales point 15 west of the separator. I could not determine if the sales line valves were open at t |

1215972252 | 2008-06-30 | Production Wells | No Violations | Investigate a concern from a neighbor (Helen Nowak) that the well is too close to her property and she is not in the drilling unit. The well was drilled in 1982. According to the survey plat submitted with the permit application, the well is 340 from her property. Heavy undergrowth in the intervening woods prevented a precise measurement, but my rangefinder indicated that the well is at least over 300 from the creek. The plat indicates that the creek approximates the property boundary. I met with Mrs. Nowak and gave her this information. She indicated that she has a map that shows her property extending east of the creek. I checked the Summit County on line tax map records which indicate that her property does not extend east of the creek. I suggested that she hire a professional surveyor to locate her property line. |
1342593882 | 2004-05-12 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Status check inspection - the stock tank is incapable of containing oil or water. The tank must be replaced as soon as possible. Neither the well nor the tank battery has the required ID. |
