| 1065354075 | 2016-11-08 | UrbanProduction Wells | No Violations | The Brown Unit # 1 was completed in 2/86. Access was gained to both the tank battery and well head on a overgrown tire path. The well was constructed with 472 of 8.625 surface casing and 3780 of 4.5 production casing. The well was operated as an electric pumping well with 2.375 ( non-upset ) tubing and rods. The production reporting of oil, gas and brine was current. The well was surrounded with an earthen dike and a locked fence. There was minor oil staining on the ground associated with the operation of a pumping well. The well was not operating during my inspection. There was not any leaks identified with well head. I did observe occasional bubbling eight (8) inches out from the well head. This distance approximates the position of the 8.625 valve, which was buried and could be open. I requested from Tim McConaha ( Enervest Operating LLC ) that the 8.625 casing head be exposed and investigate the source of the leak. The tank battery was comprised of two (2) 100 barrel tanks ( one (1) each for oil and brine ), vertical separator, one (1) gas meter and one (1) domestic gas manifold with meter. An examination did not identcate any contaimination or leaks in the tank battery. The tank battery is becoming overgrown with vegetation which I discussed with Tim McConaha. The tank battery was surround with an earthen dike and chain link fencing. The I D signage was barely legible, but could use a touch up. No violations observed during this inspection. |
| 1478800944 | 2016-11-10 | UrbanProduction Wells | No Violations | Sutton Pump and Supply had personnel on location to excavate around the well head to determine the source of the bubbling I had previously onserved during a pre-plug evaluation. The 8.625 casing head was found approximately four (4) feet under the surface. The two (2) inch ball valve was in the closed position and determined not to be the source of leakage. The leakage was coming from the 8.625 collar and casing head connection. A minor amount of gas was coming from the packing ring on top of the casing head. The decision was made not to attempt to open the two (2) inch valve due to the corroded condition of the valve and lack of well control equipment on location. Well is scheduled to be plugged and the rig crew can determine the amount of pressure on the 8.625 casing at that point. |
