1395252594 2014-03-11 UrbanProduction Wells Violations Noted I conducted an inspection of this well on 3/11/2014. The gate securing the lease road was locked. The required identification sign on the gate was illegible. The lease road was passable and allowed for entry to the George Unit # 1 well. The well is being operated as a plunger lift and was constructed of 4.5 casing with 1.5 tubing. The George Unit #1 reported production from 1990 to 2012 according to RBDMS. The sound of gas escaping could be heard next to the well head. The top collar of the 4.5 casing was corroded and being supplemented by two pipeline clamps in order to stop the leakage. The ball valve on the casing was leaking also. It was wrapped by Electricians tape to control the leaking gas. The repairs appeared to be recent. The tank battery is shared with Petracca #1 well ( 34-153-2-2512). The tank battery consists of a 210 Bbl. Stock, 50 Bbl. Steel brine tank, a vertical separator, Gas orfice meter and a domestic gas outlet. I saw that the brine tank was overfilled and running over during my inspection. I called ( @ 1524 hrs. ) Jeff Schonauer ( J.R. Smail contact ) to have the brine hauled immediately, with which he complied by 1930hrs. From the oil contaminanted soil surrounding the brine tank this spill has occurred previously. The tank identification was legible and current. The load lines were absent of any locks but had flat plugs. The gate was locked, but there is a breach in the fencing along the west side of the tank battery approximately 8 X 6. In order to bring the George Unit # 1 into compliance Owner must 1.) Replace identification sign at gate with the required information, 2.) replace the leaking 4.5 collar and 2 ball valve which are leaking, 3.) place locks on load lines since they are outside the fencing of the tank battery, 4.) secure tank battery by repairing the breach in the west side of the fencing, 5.) remove and replace contaminated soil surrounding the brine tank, 6.) place identification with the required information at the well
