The wells 4.5 casing is reduced to a 2 closed ball valve. There is a 2 tee installed after the closed ball valve that is missing a 2 plug. There is a disconnected 1 domestic gas line next to the well. A rig tool, steel cable and gate valve are lying on the ground next to the well. There is no production equipment associated with the well. There is no identification posted. According to the RBDMS database, Energy Exploration has filed zero production from 2003 to 2013. There is no production file for 2014. I spoke with Carl Fife, field supervisor for Energy Exploration. Mr. Fife claims Energy Exploration sold the well to the landowner, Jerry Jones. Mr. Fife stated Energy Exploration would have to find paperwork showing the sale. I spoke with Mr. Jones, who states he never purchased the well from Energy Exploration. Mr. Jones states Energy Exploration has not performed maintenance on the well for several years. A compliance notice has been issued to plug the well. The well owner/operator shall submit a written plugging schedule to the inspectors office at 3575 Forest Lake Drive, Suite 150, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 within 30 days and plug the well within 180 days. The well owner/operator will be notified if the plugging schedule is approved or denied. Photos were taken and are available upon request. Follow-up inspections will be conducted. |
