1173565825 | 2012-07-09 | Production Wells | No Violations | On 7/9/2012, I conducted a follow-up inspection. My inspection found the proper identification had been posted on the tank battery and the well tender had found the well. I was told by the well tender that an application to plug this well had been submitted. I noticed no visible spill or leaks. Inspection passed. |
1341579935 | 2012-06-25 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | On 6/25/2012, I conducted a production well inspection as a request from the landowner, James Martuccio. My inspection found the tank battery had one 100 barrel oil/brine storage tank and a separator surrounded by overgrown weeds. I was unable to locate the well. I reviewed our database and found there has been no production reported since 1999. I contacted the well owner, Energy Exploration & Development, to inquire about the production history and informed them to produce or plug. I will perform additional follow-up inspections to resolve the non-production issue. |
1350317921 | 2012-10-12 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | The unit consists of a wellhead and a tank battery, which are being decommissioned. The plugging contractor is Nicks Well Plugging (NWP). Upon arrival, crews from NWP began venting residual gas in at the production stack. This process continues for a couple of hours until NWP elects to kill the well using fresh water fluid. Attempts to load the hole with fluid are initially unsuccessful due to the high residual pressure at the wellhead (2,500 +/- PSI). The crew elects to continue venting the well. The well begins to produce some brine and venting continues with brine collected in a portable steel container. After an hour of additional venting, the well was depressurized sufficiently to allow for loading with fresh water. Following loading, circulation was established and the bottom plug was placed through the production tubing with 25 sacks of Class A cement. Following placement of the bottom plug, the production tubing was removed. The well was then shut in, and the remainder of the plugging procedure was to be completed after the weekend. |
1775881098 | 2013-09-05 | Final Restoration | No Violations | My inspection found all the production equipment and debris removed. The well site and lease road were graded. Vegetation was well established. The pit was filled, closed, and graded. The landowner was using the lease road. |
