| 0995594353 | 2015-03-24 | Administrative Inspection | No Violations | I was performing an administrative inspection in reference to complaint ID 4320 and compliance notice no. 1205536825. I received a call from the complaintant, Mrs. Wingard. Mrs. Wingard stated she did not live in Ohio nor owned property in the state. Upon further questioning, Mrs. Wingard stated that in 2012 she worked for a land company contracted by BP to look into leasing property. Mrs. Wingard stated she had no further interest in the condition of the well. On my previous inspections, I found the well was not in commerical production. However, domestic line coming off of the 4.5 casing did supply gas to a home on the property. |

According to the landowner, the current well owner has made no attempt to produce the well. The owner acquired the well in 2000 and has not reported production since.
The well was found shut-in. The well was equipped with a plunger lift unit. There was no other surface equipment present. Plug or produce the well or apply for temporary inactive status. Post complete identification at the wellhead. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of bond. |

My inspection found the well shut in and surrounded by weeds. I researched our database and found the last reported production in 1994 by Titan Energy. There was no tank battery, only two 2 pipes sticking out of the ground with plugs and partly painted yellow. I spoke to the landowner and he expressed an interest in purchasing the well for domestic use. I spoke to Bob Barr Jr. and mailed the compliance notice to Big Sky with two violations; the well shall be plugged (Ohio Revised Code 1509.12B) and for statement of annual production not filed (Ohio Revised Code 1509.11). |
