0638796763 | 2018-04-12 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | HAD Drilling Rig # 247 was the drilling contractor for Highland Field Services. A 30 casing was concentrically drilled to 37 GL. Bedrock was reported encountered at 10 by HAD Drilling personnel. A 28 borehole was drilled with an air hammer to 83 GL on misted air. A fresh water flow estimated to be approximately 30 gals. / hr. was encountered in this section of the borehole. After the hole was drilled to total depth HAD lowered four joints of 24, 157 lbs. / ft., welded casing open ended into the hole. Circulation windows were cut into the casing 24 from the bottom of the casing. Three (3) bow spring centralizers were welded to the casing at 20, 40 and 60 depths. Petroset Cementing Services (PSC) connected to the casing and circulated 10 barrels of fresh water. The cement mix water was heated to 55 F, pH was 7 and Chlorides were < 250 ppm. The cement load was Class A with a mix yield of 1.18 cu.ft./sk. PCS mixed the cement slurry and displaced it with 38 barrels of water. Cement returns were observed at 30 barrels into displacement. I verified, by scale, cement slurry density at 15.1 ppg and 15.0 ppg. Circulation was observed throughout the entire job. Approximately eight (8) barrels of cement slurry were observed to return to the cellar. Plug was down at 1800 hrs. After twenty minutes , I observed that the cement level had fallen and could not be seen. I request from Gus ( Co-man ) that the cement top be measured after WOC time and topped off even with the 30 drive pipe. |
