Mrs. Ross was unable to find any documents showing a transfer to her mother, or to herself. Mrs. Ross states that she found only a transfer from Leslie B. Johnson to Victor Maneikis. It was recommended that she check her deed or talk with an oil and gas attorney. She was informed that in order to meet the current ownership requirements, documentation must be received by 6/30/2010. |

The valves were observed open and the well appeared to have been equipped with a pumping unit at one time. No tanks or unit exist at this time. Plastic and steel line from well location are cut. Gas pressure was present, as small leak observed at top of well head. A vacant house exists on the property. Currently, RBDMS shows Historic Well Ownership. GPS reading obtained for the well. The current location is not accurate and will be verified with Central Office. An interview conducted with adjacent property owner revealed that the well may have an owner. This individual watches over the property and states that Irene Ashton passed away several years ago and her daughter, Mrs. Nancy Ross now owns the well. Further stating that this was the only Ashton well ever drilled. At one time, gas had been used to heat the house that is now vacant. Mrs. Ross resides in Columbus with her husband and can be reached at 803-269-9131. Mrs. Ross called and left message at 1:35 pm stating they are living outside Plain City, OH, but she works in Dublin, OH. They plan to retire in Vinton Co. and put better place on property. Mrs. Ross left contact information: 614-754-5471 (work), 803-269-9131 (home). Returned call and left message for Mrs. Ross today at 6:53 pm. |

A telephone message was left for Mrs. Nancy Ross at her residence at 8:43 am. Mrs. Ross returned call and stated that Mr. Goff was the first well owner, but Mr. Victor Maneikis would have been the last well owner. He worked with her dad whom, passed away 20 years ago. Mr. Maneikis said he would then turn the well over to her mother, Irene Ashton. Her mother has now since passed and Mrs. Ross believes she does own the well. Mrs. Ross was informed that she would have to prove well ownership to DMRM, which may require courthouse research to locate the necessary documents. Explained the current DMRM procedures relating to registration and well ownership. Mrs. Ross was advised of SB 165 (effective 6/30/2010) and how it will affect well ownership. Mrs. Ross address is as follows: 9758 Rosedale Milford Center Rd, Irwin, Ohio 43029-9511. A well ownership packet along with pertinent well information will be sent to Mrs. Ross. |
