Good IDs on tank, needs dike. |

He thinks they lost 35-40 bbl oil thru hole in tank - probably developed something during the day and pumper discovered it about 2:30 PM. Clean-up crew immediately dispersed, OEPA called and John reports oil in the intermittent creek about 100-150. Dike was not sufficient to contain the oil and ran downhill below the tank into the creek. Tank has been drained and removed, oil sucked up inside the dike and they feel they have probably recovered 20 bbl. Contaminated soil stockpiled on plastic and covered to prevent exposure to rain that is coming. John reports crew worked until Midnight, will begin again in morning. OEPA Mike Sherin on site and is supervising clean-up. I will continue to monitor. 2/22 - out on site to view oil spill and clean-up. Repaired or new tank will need to be set and sufficient dike built to contain 110% of fluids. |

The well was in good operating condition complete with identification and the tank battery and containment dike has been rebuilt with the sides raised. There was no residual oil on the absorbent pads. Siphon dam was still in place. |
