| 1354273943 | 2012-11-29 | Production Wells | No Violations | I received a request from landowner, Terry DeWitt, to inspect this well and equipment - he questions whether it is producing. I found well with pumping unit, polished rod shiny, and valves at well open. Found one of the small flow meters that they are putting on many of the wells as a gauge for gas production - it registers zero this day - well not making anything as I cant hear gas/fluid in lines or separator. Good identification at 100 bbl tank - Terry reports that recently got posted. He was puzzled about the 2 black plastic line running down over the hill towards the road. It has been doubled in two and has a cut/open end over the bank. Obviously not hooked to anything. No lines coming off the tank and it is full of fluids. The ladder is just laying up against the tank, not fastened on and he is concerned about safety issues including open man hole. The dike does not meet SPCC requirements and the ground inside the dike has many deer tracks, no vegetation, but is not wet and there is no indication that brine is currently being dumped or is leaking. Landowner asks about a 2 plastic line with valve on the end, down on the creek bank at the road and he felt they are dumping brine - I believe this is a load line - not attached to anything - that might be used to pick up oil or brine, as needed. His lease calls for lines to be buried and some are laying on top of the ground this day. His gas is probably being metered at a master or sub meter somewhere and payment, if any, is being estimated - annual production reported for 2011 was 102 mcf. Meter at the well shows no production today. Landowner has hired attorney and pursuing his issues. My inspection in 2006 indicates they worked on the well, adding a pumping unit, at that time. |
