| 1113831678 | 2005-04-15 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspection this day due to oil spill reported night before. Complaintant reports oil spill reported Tues (4/12/05) and company did nothing. Long time feud going on. When arrived found oil all contained in dike and hands flushing dike area with water and sucking up oil. Probably only 1-2 bbl. and was going to flush several more times to get oil out of the pea gravel, but someone had shut valve to tank, pressuring up the line and causing leaks above valve and up on hill at well. Also complaint about erosion, which I saw only in one or 2 spots. Reportedly oil came thru house gas line to house and shut off gas. Meeting determined that landowner needed positive flow drip at well, as line coming off casing, which he said he would get, that Stonebridge would not shut off the house gas, as they reportedly kept doing, and that Stonebridge would put in culvert if physically possible without hillside slipping. Would also quit using 4-wheeler trail as shortcut to well (didnt look like it had been using in last year? and no reason to when road so good to drive right up to wells. Will reinspect in few days. Had good dike, needed IDs, current chart in meter. |
| 1350923779 | 2005-04-12 | Production Wells | No Violations | Inspection this day was due to call from Allen Moore, father-in-law of landowner concerning oil spill. Says they notified SB Tues. and still not come to clean up and it was Thurs night. Said dike was leaking. Called SB and they sent someone out to check. All was confined in dike - said landowner shuts tanks off so will have enough gas for house, oil coming thru the line into drip at house. Come to find out, landowner not entitle to free gas for house, it and mineral royalty reserved by B. Thompson - landowner Bierbach says lease says landowner gets free gas. Has been going on for 3 years - taking illegally, SB says. Someone had shut valve at tank off and line pressured up and leaked at tank and also up at well. He also had complaints of erosion, which I really dont see. Couple places need a little work and that was addressed. Griped about a 4-wheeler path, which hadnt been used in long time, so told SB to not use it again, but road to well looks good. Oil spill into dike area was approx. 2 bbls, dike area was flushed several times with fresh water to clean - also was lined with plastic so did not soak in. Will need to clean up 1 square area up at well, not sure where meter is and needed to get IDs up on tanks. Will re-inspect in few days to make sure all work completed. Landowner told to get Little Jo to prevent oil from coming down to house, but is really not allowed to be taking gas. |
