| 1821676841 | 2015-05-05 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | I received a complaint from Mr. Richard Powell on 5/5/2015 in regard to a Stonebridge Operating Co. gas transmission line crossing a creek on his property. Upon inspection, it was observed that a 2 black plastic flow line crosses a creek which is a tributary/backwater to the nearby Little Hocking River. The flow line is buried on both sides of the stream and has been used to replace the old 2 steel line which also crosses the creek and had ruptured at some time in past years. The 2 plastic line lays on the water surface perpendicular to creek flow, leaving it vulnerable to breakage during high flow events. The transmission line is associated with Stonebridge Operating Co. well P#27033 nearly a mile away. The line shall be buried below the creek bed or relocated in a manner that is conducive to general safety. The operator will have 60 days upon receipt of this notice to reach compliance. The operator may file a request for burial exemption with ODNR DOGRM Chief Richard Simmers. For approval, the request must contain reasonable justification to not bury the line. I spoke with Mr. John Schneider of Stonebridge Operating Co. and explained the situation to him and he stated that he will work with his crew to find a way to effectively resolve this violation. |
