Spoke to Bob Harpster by phone. He said they are waiting for ground to freeze to complete work which includes filling a hole in the farm field where the dirt was removed for the crossing. When arrive on site drill had advanced 9 inches in 5.5 hours. Since this is a 6 inch hole Bob thought that if it was a cannonball that it would be drilled thru by now. After about another hour of drilling it appears as though they drilled thru the steel obstruction. Operator will return tomorrow to continue drilling. There was no casing in the well to a depth of approximately 90 feet. |

Another obstruction was hit at 374 feet. Since there is no casing in hole from about 20-100 feet (limestone), the fear was that drilling through the next obstruction may release more oil and gas that could contaminate the ground water in the zone with no casing. At that time the landowner from 5022 Warner Road (about 600 feet NE of the well) reported that water was discharging from the top of their water well. This was confirmed by inspector with landowner. Bob Harpster said approximately 1600 gallons of water had been used during drilling. No additional drilling will be done and well will be plugged at depth of 374 feet. |

Checked water well at 5022 Warner Road after plugging and no water was noted discharging from the well. |
