Oil and Gas | 2009-06-12 | KEN PIISPANEN INSPECTED WELL 6/8/2009. HE RECEIVED A ALL FROM LANDOWNER DALLAS ZIEGLER ABOUT AN IDLE/ORPHAN WELL IN FARM FIELD. WELL 61122 WAS RECENTLY PLUGGED IN THE FIELD. AN OIL STAIN APPEARED IN THE FIELD APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET WEST OF THE WELL THAT WAS PLUGGED. MR. ZIEGLER CONTACTED BP OIL COMPANY, BECAUSE THERE IS A PIPELINE IN THE FIELD. BP SENT AN EXCAVATOR TO THE SITE WHO COUND A WELL WITH OPEN 3-INCH STEEL CASING. THE CASING WAS FILLED WITH OIL APPROXIMATELY 2 FEET BELOW GROUND. WELL 61122 APPEARED TO BE AN OLDER WELL, BECAUSE IT HAD WOOD CASING. WELL WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE IDLE/ORPHAN PROGRAM FOR PLUGGING. |
