2685980 Primary Facility 2018-01-24 Routine/Complete Inspection Pending This well is tagged and in production. The well head casing is corroded and is leaking gas and the mechanical integrity of the well has been compromised. The operator will need to repair the well head casing in order to restore the mechanical integrity of this well. I will be placing a call to the operator to discuss this well. The rest of the piping and the meter run look ok.
2687673 Primary Facility 2018-01-29 Routine/Complete Inspection Pending This is a follow up inspection on this well. I met with three of the operators field personnel and witnessed them shut the venting annulus between the 6" and the 3" production tubing and install an ounce gauge to monitor the pressure build up in the 6" annulus space. The 6" only pressured up to 3 ounces before the well began venting the gas out between the 6" and the 8" casings. This indicated that it is not possible to plumb the venting 6" annulus gas in to the sales line to sell it as present line pressure is 28 psi and the 6" annulus will only build to 3 ounces before leaking out between the 6" and the 8" casings. Although the operator installed a vent pipe up into the atmosphere approximately 9' high to disperse the venting gas from the annulus higher up, it is the finding of the Department that this is only a temporary measure until the operator either establishes and implements a plan to repair the casing in this well or plugs the well.
2790202 Primary Facility 2018-10-17 Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) No Violations Noted The plugging rig had wireline shooting three shot perforations in the 3" pipe every hundred feet from 1300' to 800' at the time of this inspection. The bond log showed the 3" to be free up at 800' so the forward plan is to shoot the 3" off at that point and pull it. We will discuss plugging the upper portion of the well when they have arrived at this point. I had the opportunity to meet with Dave Oaks, Associate Professor Andres Clarens of The University of Virginia and two of his colleagues to discuss some new proposals for plugging wells more efficiently going forward. All equipment on site looked ok.
910044 Primary Facility 2000-01-06 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted 64 PSI; ANN; 0 PSI
