2762449 | Primary Facility | 2018-08-10 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | This well is tagged and in production. The annulus is open.
NOTE: The 1 1/2" production tubing is severely pitted and corroded where it comes out of the well head bowl with water lying in it. This tubing will need some corrective maintenance very soon in order to maintain the mechanical integrity of the well before it pits and corrodes worse and begins leaking. A little preventive maintenance in this area can save the time and cost of a service rig for a top joint change out. I have repeatedly been asking the operators to pass the word along to their well tenders and field staff to be watching for this corrosion issue on the well heads and have them cleaned and coated before the pitting and corrosion begins. The rest of the well head casing, piping, equipment and 50 bbl fiberglass fluid collection tank looks ok. |
