2372073 | Primary Facility | 2015-05-20 | Complaint Inspection | Violation(s) Noted | Inspection was performed as a follow-up an anonymous complaint outlining a discharge of production fluids to the ground. Preliminary phone conversation with BLX representative Tom Bock confirmed that work had been performed at the well recently, i.e. the removal of the brine tank. A field inspection of the site by WQS Higgins found evidence that a discharge of some sort had ocured recently at the well-site. There was an area immediately downslope of the well apparatus, and former location of the brine tank, stretching for apprximately 30 feet which had been recently regraded and mulched. Additionally Mr. Bock informed WQS Higgins via phone and e-mail that he had spoken with the complainant, both prior to the filing of the complaint and after. Mr. Bock agreed with WQS Higgins that a discharge of some sort had ocurred and that BLX would be undertaking measures directly to begin addressing the affected area. Mr. Bock stated via phone that the remediation process would most likley begin early the following week, after the Memorial Day Holiday. |
