| 2686188 | Primary Facility | 2018-01-25 | Follow-up Inspection | No Violations Noted | This is a follow up inspection from an earlier issue at this well where extreme weather conditions led to a split in the side of a 1" brass ball valve which was plumbed in to the top of the well's drip. This split resulted in the release of a small amount of gas from the split. The operator sent a well tender out and replaced this valve. Line pressure was 29psi at the well and the dry flow orifice meter did not record even the slightest pressure drop bump from the blue line pressure pen on the well chart which told me that the leak was too small to register any change at all in this low line pressure. This well sits by itself way out in a cornfield approximately 1/8 of a mile from the nearest structure and it did not pose a hazard to the public. The well is in production and the well head casing, piping, meter and 2100 gallon plastic fluid collection tank look ok. |
