Mr. Bish stated that the tank is inspected weekly. The operator will promptly investigate and follow-up with the Department. The operator appears to be in compliance with policy at this time. Operator representative Gordon Bish contacted the Department by phone. Upon further investigation, the operator determined the following: The well is inspected on a weekly basis, sometimes as often as three times a week because of its substantial gas production. The well does not produce water unless the well is blown. The well had been blown and on September 20, 2017, a pinhole was discovered in the brine tank where brine was actively spurting out of the hole. To stop the discharge, the screw (observed in inspection record 2702279) was placed within the pinhole. Before 9/20/17, the tank measurement was 112 inches. After the leak was discovered, 111.15 inches of brine (equating to 95 bbl of fluid) was hauled out from the tank, indicating that 0.85 inches of fluid was lost.
