Due to the minimal amount of earth moving activity for site construction there are minimal erosion controls neccesary. The silt fencing backed with hay bales should be an effective control. Noted in the E&S plan that drill cuttings will be hauled off-site and disposed of at a landfill. Contacted operator representative Randy Morris regarding the placement of the brine tank upon completion of well development activities. The Department requested that the brine tank be placed at least 50 feet from the bank of the Allegheny River. The E&S plan as compiled should effectively minimize accelerated erosion and sedimentation, provided the plan is implemented and maintained as outlined. |
