2645629 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-03 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On October 3, 2017, the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, Them Location, in Wysox Township, Bradford County. Andrew Hobbins represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.
The site sign, E & S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The fill slope was observed to be well vegetated, however, and area of landowner disturbance was observed near infiltration areas #2. It appeared as though the landowner drove a large tractor through the rock spreader and disturbed previously vegetated areas. The Department recommends repairing the area by mulching and reseeding. No erosion issues were observed. Two wells were in production. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellars. Two production tanks and two GPUs were also on site. There were no puddles or staining observed on the well pad surface. PCSM has been addressed at the site with the installation of two infiltration areas. The infil |

The E&S inspection log was reviewed; the last routine inspection was conducted on 01/30/19.
PCSMs have been installed and are functioning as designed. With exception for the area referenced in Photo # 1, no erosion issues were observed. The site is stable and well vegetated meeting the 70% uniform, perennial, vegetative cover. A total of two producing wells located on this well pad. All wells are tagged with API/well permit numbers. No bubbling within the cellars was observed. There are two GPU’s and two steel vertical production fluids tanks onsite. Production fluid tanks were stationed in secondary containment. GPUs did not appear to incorporate secondary containment. The Department recommends dewatering the well cellars. A surface sheen could be seen in |
