2641989 | Primary Facility | 2017-09-29 | Drilling/Alteration | No Violations Noted | The 1H well is being drilled at this time. Three wells currently drilled and a fourth will also be drilled. No spills detected. Water from pressure washing the rig was within containment. |
2651665 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-12 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | I arrived at the site at 12:25. The weather conditions were cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 60's. The most recent Drilling Resumption After Break of 30 days or more of notification was submitted to the Department on 9/28/17. The notice indicated that drilling of the 2H well would commence on 10/1/17 at 8AM. I met with Jeremy Boyd and Jeff Brennan, both site company men and consultants of Chief. Mr. Boyd and Mr. Brennan stated the following in reference to site activities. "Precision Drilling Rig #569 is in the process of running production casing on the 2H well. The well has been drilled to a total depth of (17,307). Cementing of the casing will commence some time tonight. Rig down will commence tomorrow and the rig move will start on Saturday. The 1H and 4H have been drilled to total depth. The 3H well is in production. I left the site at 13:58. |

2720459 | Primary Facility | 2018-03-27 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | I arrived at the site 12:46. There was no activity at the site during the inspection. The weather conditions were cloudy skies and breezy with temps in the lower 40's. Shortly after I arrived, Jon Hafer, Environmental Specialist of Chief Oil and Gas LLC arrived at the site. Mr. Hafer informed me that the intention of his visit was to conduct monitoring of wells since a Notice Of Violation issued by the Department as a result of natural gas migrating outside of the surface casing due to insufficient cementing of casing on the 1H, 2H and 4H wells. The Department issued the NOV to Chief on 2/9/18. For additional information pertaining to the NOV, reference inspection ID # 2693026. Natural gas did not migrate outside of the surface casing on the 3H well according to Mr. Hafer.
I observed white residue/crystallization on the pad surface in between the production fluid tanks and where the site access road and pad entrance meet. Residual staining was observed on secondary containment for the common shared vent ta |
2792193 | Primary Facility | 2018-10-19 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Four wells are staged for production. Most of the pad surface is restored and is well-vegetated with greater than 70% vegetation. A gravel path remains which leads to the well heads, GPUs, and production tanks. The topsoil stockpile and the pad side slopes are also well-vegetated with greater than 70% vegetation. A vegetated channel is present along the northwest sides of the pad. This channel appears to be retaining some water.
Four GPUs are present within plastic and felt containment. Approximately an inch of water is present within containment. The conductivity here was 107.2 uS/cm. Site is stable. No violations. |
