Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.
The site sign, E&S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The site was observed to be a mix of vegetation and rocked stabilized slopes. No major erosion issues were observed. An earthen containment berm surrounded the well pad. Two wells were in production during the inspection. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellar. Two production tanks and two GPUs were also on site. The production tanks were in secondary containment. Liquid within the secondary containment was observed to be occupying approximately 1/3 of the capacity of the structure. The pad was snow covered so no staining was observed, and no conductivity readings were taken. No violations were observed. |
