2726731 | Primary Facility | 2018-04-30 | Routine/Partial Inspection | No Violations Noted | At the time of inspection, well has been producing. There was a pump jacked which was hooked up to electricity onsite. The wellhead was covered up with a tarp. A sheen was seen on the rods. The well had a pressure relief valve hooked up and the valve for that was open. The valve leading to a steel tank was closed. Based on some oil staining at the top of the tank, it appears it had overflowed and and oil had traveled downhill into a depression, which is acting as an earthen dike. Some cleanup may have already occurred, but some more work should be done to clean this up to avoid a violation. Production data has never been reported to the Department. Please start doing so using the DEP's Greenport website. Contact me if you have any questions with this. |
