Reported leak was found to be a large out of control blow off from house line protection pop-off. Both regulators,base of pop-off, and the complete gas meter were cacked with 1/2 in. of frost. Gas was considered to be a threat to houses in the area given the weather conditions and volume of flow. I closed in the well from the house supply line and notified the opperator at once. It was back on line the next morning. I'm not sure what all was done for repairs. |
