The operations were believed to be occurring on a bordering lease to the north. In an attempt to locate these operations, we began following vehichle tracks in the newly fallen snow. The vehicle tracks led us to the Milford North 53 well, at which point the tracks turned around and exited the same way as they entered.
As we were exiting the Milford North lease, we stopped in the stone pit to inspect what appeared to be recent activity involving lease road construction. At this time a dump truck entered the pit and stopped near our state vehicle. We spoke with the driver, who identified himself as a contractor who was building a road to an old well for Pennfield Energy. During our conversation, we observed a vac truck entering the lease on the access road, followed by a pickup truck. Both trucks had the Pennfield Energy logo on the cab doors.
