The Department (WQS S. Foulk and WQSS A. Weiland) contacted operator representative Jenny Reefer by phone as a follow-up to inspection record 2702273. The Department reviewed the Department's Spill Policy (Document Number: 800-5000-001) with Ms. Reefer. The Department recommended that all visibly impacted materials are removed and disposed of properly in accordance with the Spill Policy in order to prevent any further pollution to the ground and/or prevent any potential pollution events from occurring in Waters of the Commonwealth. The Department recommended utilizing soil conductivity readings, both background readings and readings in the area of impact, to aid in delineating the release and to ensure all contaminated soils are removed.
