1878784 | Primary Facility | 2010-04-22 | Complaint Inspection | No Violations Noted | At the time of inspection, no E&S or IW issues at the site. Well tag located at the wellhead.. Wellhead consisted of 9 5/8¿ pipe reduced to 7¿ pipe to 4 ½¿ pipe to 2¿ production pipe. According to records, well was drilled in 10/17/81 to depth of 3665 ft. At the time, no gas was leaking around well head. Production equipment consisted of 100 bbl brine steel tank with approximately 75 bbl of fluid. However, located adjacent to the brine tank was a 2inch production pipe stubbed approximately 1 ft vertical above ground. The pipe was capped with a steel shut off valve. The valve was cracked causing a leakage of gas from the pipe. DEP talked to NCL Natural Resources production manager who sent the well maintenance personnel (Dave) to the site. At 14:30 hrs, Dave called to inform the DEP that the shut off valve was removed and new valve was installed. Thus, eliminating the leakage of gas around the well. |
