At the time of inspection, brine and soap actively being discharged from well. OGI contacted XTO while onsite at approximately 1115am, whom dispatched a well tender,Bill Johnson and safety coordinator, Stephen Smith. XTO reps arrive onsite at approximately 1140, well shut down and evaulation of cause of release and environmental impact began. XTO agreed to remediate area downslope from well that "visibly" appears impacted by brine release. Operator also agreeded to conduct sampling prior to and after excavation has been completed--both of which shall be provided to the department. Once samples indicate all "brine" has been removed operator shall backfill and properly restore area.Well tag present. Well producing at time of inspection.Reccomend opr removed fluids from bt dike, dispose of according to regulation. |
